Daila and I had been planning a girl’s get away trip for a months before we finally landed on the idea of visiting her home on the Canary Islands. The idea of shooting a short piece came secondary, but it turned out to be just as impressionable as the wide oceans, and wild winds of Gran Canaria. Having complete creative control over filming while in Canary was a new experience and one that had me falling in love with making movies all over again. Daila is one of my favorite people ever, so it was felt effortless capturing her tranquilo flow and natural beauty. I can’t wait till our next piece, because the only thing that can one up this island is climbing!
