Born to English parents in Nashville, Tn, I always had an excuse to want and think differently. Because of my eclectic childhood (think tandoori at Christmas, yoga at seven, and backstage at Bluegrass shows) I guessed at an early age that there was much more in life to be enjoyed than what was obviously at hand. This notion was confirmed when I began traveling to visit distant family in Europe and took my first trip to NYC. Immediately I was in love. I always tried to fit in, never wanting to be pinned as an outsider. I felt that by blending in I could best appreciate a culture. I stripped myself of podunk fashions and my hid my accent, as well as I possibly could. This excitement of understanding something different highlighted the short comings of staying in any one place. I knew right then that satisfaction would only be found in seeking out every and all possibilities. So that is what I do now. And here is where I talk about it.
