Well well well, not a ton is happening in the life of Hurricane lifers. And that tends to be how we like it. I set out to get a one of those pesty little things called a job when we moved back out here about a month ago, and low and behold I’m still deemed employable! Which was great to know considering the “state of this economy” and my constantly crippling resume, (”you graduated when?”). In fact I have three jobs as I write, but don’t feel bad for me because yes I am writing this blog as I “work” at one of them. None of these jobs are very trying, in fact they are the sort of things I would have done as a high school summer job, or during college. Luckily everyone in Utah thinks I’m 20 because I don’t have a ring on my finger and five kids, so I basically I am still in high school as far as my employers are concerned. It’s not just me that’s been baffled by the over-educated and under-employeed syndrome. I heard a great piece last week that you can listen to here. Scroll down to the story titled “Life After Journalism.” It’s an excellent piece I think many of us can relate to. It makes me feel not so crazy about how I’ve been convinced for years that I can make more waiting tables than trying to use my degree.

More great pics! No dollars to be made selling them? You could advertise on your blog but I do think that is a spoiler……
keep on blogging, climbing, snapping and it will all come good in the end. tedsmum x
Hey Colette,
I’m also a female climber and I enjoy reading your blog. You have great photos and I was just wondering what sort of camera and editing software you use?
Cheers,
Leslie
