Side note: This blog took me over four days to publish… It’s great when things just work out. Like when you leave the holy land (Spain) to work a job (blah) that falls through (what!) and decide on a female friend induced whim (Jackie Hueftly) to drive your ass to the next best winter promise land (Hueco). Who knows how many times I’ve tried to plan a girls trip, but people have lives, they have jobs and obligations. So getting 5 of my favorite people all in the same place all at the same time is usually impossible. So when I heard five of my favorite ladies would all be in Hueco at once, even in my jet lagged state I new I was making the right move.I haven’t had my trusty g9, but my new iphone (hallelujah) has been doing a splendid job of capturing the wonderful Hueco-ness. Being back in the desert is the best buffer for post Europe blues, but having my girls here has washed away any sadness I’ve had at all. I love you guys!!! Pre Promise Land, cold and icey

My trip here is rapidly coming to and end. Today will be my last climbing day, then I get one dance party tonight, one day in Barcelona tomorrow before one always too long plane ride back to the states. I wish I could say I’m home sick, or that I can’t wait for the great Mexican food and inet conveniences awaiting me in the US, but it’s not really true. Coming to Spain has by far been the best part of the trip for me. I can’t believe Joe had to twist my arm to get me to do it. The weather has been amazing. The people as always are incredible. And the climbing needs no confirmation. We definitely have a sweet little social cliché here (I even have girlfriends to text!) and it’s such a bummer to leave great friends again. The only thing soothing the sting is the fact that I know we’ll be back. Somehow we always do (think new British passport in hand), so no doubt we will again.
